Lifeworks offers a 9-week employment readiness program for economically disadvantaged adults who experience chronic unemployment or underemployment. Classes meet Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The program utilizes career development curriculum developed by The Institute for Life Coping Skills at Columbia University. Features of the Lifeworks program include:
- soft-skills training
- life-skills training
- counseling
- mentoring
- work internship and
- spiritual formation.
The goal of Lifeworks is to equip and assist each participant to find employment in a career that provides a living wage and best fits the individual.
