Want to share your time and expertise on behalf of Lifeworks? Listed below are some of the volunteer roles available.
Student Encouragers
- What: persons who can form relationships with assigned students for purpose of listening and encouraging the student’s progress through the program
- Time: 1 lunch hour weekly for 10 weeks beginning Feb. 27
Creative Arts Facilitators
- What: person or persons who can lead one or more types of creative arts activity (i.e., creative writing, painting/drawing, acting, photography)
- Time: 1 hour weekly for 12 weeks beginning Feb. 20
Internship Coordinator
- What: volunteer who can assist students in arranging part-time employment internships
- Time: 3-5 hours weekly beginning March 5 through April 27
Grant Writer
- What: person who can assist the Executive Director in researching and writing funding proposals to foundations, businesses and churches
- Time: 2-3 hours weekly
Event Planning
- What: person or persons who can organize and direct events for the program (i.e., graduation, Friends & Family luncheon, fundraising luncheon)
- Time: variable according to the volunteer’s schedule
